Story

I'm sharing my fundraising story late in the day as yet again an injury sabotaged my half marathon training plans - at least I didn't break a bone this time so I can still take part!

I started training on the 8th June and on my 2nd training run I damaged my achilles. I didn't run again for 2.5 months! Weeks of recovery exercises later I've now done a few short runs. However I've come to the conclusion if the worst comes to worst I'm sure I can walk 13 miles!! Fingers crossed!

I am raising funds for CRIBS International - a charity whose work I admire and support. CRIBS houses refugees in Athens who are pregnant or have a baby under the age of 12 months and provide safe accommodation, living expenses, medical and social support during those very difficult months. Please help me to help the CRIBS families (17 are housed currently including 2 newborn babies) by supporting my fundraising campaign.

Thank you x
