Since 2013, Woodfield Animal Sanctuary has rescued over 300 ponies who would otherwise not have survived due to their emaciated condition and in some cases serious injury. We also take in orphaned lambs, cats, cows and dogs - in fact any animal who needs a safe home for the rest of their life. The cost of looking after these abandoned animals has risen year on year and now includes paying three part-time staff, renting extra grazing from local farmers for over 70 horses and three flocks of sheep and expensive veterinary bills.
