Thanks for taking the time to visit Charlie and my JustGiving page.

Earlier this year I took part in my very first walking marathon, why? well it was something I had always wanted to do to tick off the bucket list. This particular marathon was for breast cancer awareness but as I started my training I started to think of all the people I knew who had been effected by cancer....The list was scarily long...:-( and the feeling's there after were overwhelming ... It was no longer a bucket list challenge or just about breast cancer  BUT it as about ALL cancer and a very personal mission where I wanted to make a difference...!!!

There were lots of people who supported me on this very unexpected emotional journey BUT one lady that inspired and motivated me more than I think she will ever know during my training was Nicola. Without knowing it she was the one who pushed me to walk that extra mile when I wanted to give up, to get up early and go out in the wind, rain, snow, even a blizzard..

Sadly I only had the pleasure of knowing this amazing lady for a few years but boy oh boy what an impact she's made to my life and the way I look at the world.  She was one of the most determined, inspiring people I think I have ever met and she will always have a very special place in my heart.  xoxo 

So when Charlie suggested that we take part in this 50K challenge around the Peak District we both agreed that we wanted to do it for Nicola and after speaking to her family this was one of the suggested charities close to Nicola's heart, a place that helped her through her treatment and care.

So here we are at the start of what I am sure will be an even more amazing journey....and with only as little as 8 weeks until the big day/night we sure do have a lot of work to get ready....!!! 

We will post updates with our progress of training as often as we can...and if you can spare even a few pence to this worthy cause then we would both very much appreciate it :-D
