As LGBT+ young people, we know first-hand how important positive role models are when envisioning a happy and exciting future. That's why we're proud to be fundraising for Just Like Us, and over the next few weeks I'll be running 5x5kms in the shape of LGBT+. With my teammates, we'll form the sentence 'PROUD / TO BE / LGBT+', as we combine showing our pride, supporting a great charity, and busting the myth of LGBT+ people not being that uh...sporty.

Growing up LGBT+ can be unacceptably tough. Right now, LGBT+ young people are twice as likely as their non-LGBT peers to be feeling lonely and separated from the people they are closest to on a daily basis. The lockdowns have been tough for everyone, but for many young LGBT+ people they have been unbearable. We are a team of ambassadors from the UK charity for LGBT+ young people - Just Like Us. Over the next few weeks we're taking part in The 5.0 Ambassador Challenge to raise money for Just Like Us. By supporting us today you will help to tackle homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying and make sure that LGBT+ young people across the UK know that being LGBT+ is something to be celebrated!
