Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.  Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

Alzheimer's takes away a person's independence.  We need to understand more about how it works and what it does in order to be able to better help and understand those going through it.  I'm doing this walk, having in mind a friend.  It is also a celebration because, having had issues of fatigue over the last couple of years, where there were days when I couldn't find my words or think straight and even walking between the lounge and the kitchen was challenge enough, I can now confidently step up to walking 13 miles.  It will be a challenge - however, I am determined to complete it, by the grace of God.
