17 babies are stillborn or die shortly after birth every day in the UK, 6,500 babies dying every year.

Each year thousands of devastated parents, grandparents, families and friends are left asking the same question, why?

For this reason, and as a midwife working with hundreds of other fantastic midwives I know across the region, I want to be able to help SANDS find out why stillbirths continue at such a devastating rate, whilst providing support and love to those that have to suffer such a tradgedy.
