Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My daughter, Emily, has Wilson's Disease which was diagnosed when she was 12 years old at King's College Hospital, London.

It is a rare disease and as yet there is no cure. Hopefully the money raised by the foundation will find a cure one day, but in the meantime this charity is a huge support to families whose children are suffering from liver disease.

Emily is now 26 years old and is looked after in the adult department of King's College Hospital when she goes for her regular 6 monthly check ups. She takes daily medication which is very strong and still can make her feel sick on a daily basis, but she leads a normal life.  Her courage and acceptance of this disease has been admirable to watch over the years and I am proud to run on her behalf to raise money for such a worthy charity.
