So the deal is that I have been conned in to this! Might have involved alcohol..but what can I say.

2 days short of what may be my 50th birthday (May 29th 2013) I will leave a perfectly warm lakeside to foolishly jump in to an un-inviting lake in Southern-land and swim for an interminable 3.5 - 4 hours. I know ...madness!

This truly is a challenge, I swim regularly but only for a mile and my yearly maximum is for the ladies race for life where my son and I do 5k in support of the girlies.

Those who know me know that I may be packing a little more timber than I used to.

So help if you can and thanks for visiting if you can't. Even if you give one pound, it will be a help and will probably do some good towards the life of someone a lot worse off than I with cancer.
