Join Wellington Samaritans on the 17th & 18th of September 2022 for 'Walk With Me', a 10km walk or run to increase awareness of our helpline in Wellington and raise the vital funds we need to keep operating.

Story

We're hoping for fine weather on the afternoon of Sat 17 Sept as we walk 10km around the Wellington waterfront to raise funds for, and awareness of, the Wellington Samaritans helpline.

They provide one-on-one support to thousands of Kiwis every year to help get them through their darkest times - aligning completely to our own Altrusa club goals of making our communities better.

Samaritans is a non-religious helpline. We have been listening to people in need for 56 years. Some people call us because they are in immediate crisis or have a plan to end their own lives; others are coping with loneliness, anxiety or depression. Your donation keeps our helpline available.
