In a moment of madness I've agreed to take on the Maggie's Monster Bike and Hike in May 2014...the gold challenge no less!!! 30 mile cycle followed by 43 mile hike from Fort William to Inverness...my wee legs are screaming at the very thought!!

So, why am I doing this?

It seems more and more of us are affected by cancer at some point in our lives. For our family, that day came in July 2010 when my wife Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Thankfully Amy has recovered well and is back to her normal self.

The emotional support and practical advice we received from Maggie's was much needed and much appreciated and I wanted to do something to give a little back. This is where you come in...

I'm prepared to put this middle-aged body on the line and take on the Monster challenge!! Are you prepared to support a fantastic charity which does so much to change the lives of those of us affected by cancer?
