Story

Am now up to 17.3 miles have to say hardest thing I've ever done!! Not long to go now before the big day!!

Well training is tough it has taken a lot of willpower to get through the longer runs that's when I think of how proud my dad would be helps to spur me on! I am off to the royal marsden tomorrow to meet other runners for a pre-marathon afternoon tea really looking forward to getting some tips on my training. A 14 mile run round Richmond park planned for Sunday so hoping no snow of rain! Xx

Happy new year lets hope it will be happy and healthy for everyone!. With just over 3 months to go I am training as much as possible have it my fitness levels up now have to concentrate of running longer distances. Can't say it's easy but am beginning to enjoy running more and when it gets tough which is most of the time I think of my dad and how he would be encouraging me to keep going. I am so grateful for everyone that has taken the time to donate to my cause Thankyou!

Well 2 weeks training finished its hard work and ankles sore but am actually enjoying it. Have been fitted with new running shoes so hoping they will help with the effects on my ankles!!.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I was mad enough to apply for the 2013 London Marathon, and "lucky" enough to earn a place, so have already started the hard work required to be in good shape come April.

As it turned out, I am very pleased to be participating in this great event as my dad, John, sadly passed away shortly after receiving the news I had gained a place. I am dedicating this run to him, with all donations going to the Royal Marsden, whose staff in the Brompton Hospital were nothing short of excellent during my dad's time there.

'Bunny' was loved and respected by many people, least not his family, and he brought joy and laughter to any who knew him. A kind and great man, he will be sorely missed, and I'm sure he will be spurring me on come the big day.

It was his wish that any donations received would go to the Royal Marsden who do a fantastic job on a daily basis. Any money, however small, you could give to a good cause in memory of a good man would be greatly appreciated.
