I was lucky enough to get a London Marathon place in the public ballot, but I thought I'd use the opportunity to raise money for a great cause.

Any money you donate will be split equally between the Dunkery Ward and the Beacon Centre at Taunton's Musgrove Park Hospital. The Dunkery Ward is a dedicated stroke unit and the Beacon Centre is a new state-of-the art cancer centre. Both have helped members of my family in recent years and it'd be great to raise a fab amount of money for them.

Plus it might help motivate me to get myself out there for long runs on those dark, freezing winter weekends...!
