Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am doing the Great North Run this year to raise money for Cancer Research. Unfortunately, all of us I am sure have, at some point, been affected in some way by cancer, wether with a relative, friend or yourself and we all know the devastating effect it has on peoples whole life, so I think its a really worthwhile cause.

Everyone who knows me, probably knows  the effect it has had on my best pal Neil Cowie over the past year and he is the inspiration for running it.

I havent run properly in about 20 years, other than occasionally for last orders or if the chippy is due to close, so its a big challenge. But a challenge that I think is very worthwhile and hope that in some small way I can help someone like Neil who is an inspiration to us all on how to keep your chin up in the face of some bloody hard times! 

So please help with what you can and I promise not to let you down!
