Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.  Last year, thanks to your generosity, I raised over £1,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care, which was a great result and hugely satisfying - thanks to all who donated.

This year I'm running for Marie Curie again and will again be aiming to do the London 10k on 6 July, the London "Gay Pride" 10k on 16 August and the Glasgow 10k on 7 September (where I will be joined by my son Ross).

UPDATE:

7 July - well, I managed to finish the London 10k yesterday in a reasonably respectable 56 minutes (roughly)

18 August - did the London Pride run yesterday in an official time of 59:30 - easily a career worst!  Also a full 7 minutes slower than the same race last year.  My excuse is I'm not long back from holiday and have done no training for ages.  Plus I'm getting old.

8 September - oh dear!  I did the Glasgow 10k on 7 September in an official time of 1:00:55.  A full 10 minutes slower than last year.  Must cut down on me pork life.  Ross did well in doing his first 10k with me so well done to him.

Oh well, there's always next year.  A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who donated - your donation means a lot to me, and so much more to the ultimate beneficiaries of your generosity.  THANK YOU!
