Story
Hi friends. Thought I'd send this message out on Facebook. As you know, I moved over to Australia last year. I have a better lifestyle here so I thought I'd get fitter and lose a bit of weight! I started dieting and running and since I got here I have lost over 20kg. I've still got a bit to go, so to help me, I thought I would enter a 10K run - not for charity, but for myself. Initially, I couldn't be bothered chasing folk for donations and thought that the $30 entry fee would be me doing my bit! Then, at Xmas, I learned that my 82 year old father had terminal myeloma. It was hard to hear but the good news was, he would have 2-3 years left, if not more. While I was out running one night I thought about my 10K run and how I couldn't be bothered chasing sponsorship. I felt ashamed - here was me, happy with the news my father had extended time due to the fact that other people in the past and present could, and can be, bothered to chase sponsorship. SO, I am now asking, please go to my Just Giving site and donate even a pound or a dollar. I know it won't save my dad but it might help save someone else's dad in the future.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
