Story
We have undertaken this task in memory of a wonderful Husband, Father and friend to many. David Bradley was diagnosed with Leukaemia which was a major shock to us all. Dave battled hard and after a bone marrow transplant He was symptom free for 2 years. Leukaemia came back and Dave fought Hard again for 9 months, Dave lived life to the fullest up until he passed away in October 2012.
Dave Bradley was an extremely active individual who enjoyed grabbing a map and setting off on a walk either with soldiers or spending time with family. Due to treatment for the disease he became restricted in fear of catching the most common of colds day to day germs became his enemy, you or I would take this for granted. Major David Bradley Was an inspiration to me before, during and after his Illness, Dave was a very strong Determined, Selfless and intelligent Man yet there was a quietness about Dave that filled you with confidence.
Our intention is to raise as much as possible for this charity help raise awareness to aid Research into saving someone like David Bradley, as the help and support Dave and his family received from the specialist nursing staff whilst in Hospital, was excellent.
