Story
A year ago, one of my team members came to me to tell me that they have been diagnosed with cancer. In her early 30's and with a new-born, I can't begin to imagine the emotions that she must have gone through. I introduced her to the Dorset Cancer Care Foundation and they have been fantastic with their support for her. I have recently passed on their details to another staff member whose husband has also just been diagnosed.
I felt it appropriate to do something for the charity as I know they will be grateful for your donations and they are also a local charity. They can be found at www.dccf.co.uk
I decided to bring my love for cycling and raising money for charity together by setting off on a solo trip from London to Paris. No B&B's, no support vehicles and no check points. Just me, my bike and a ferry to get me across the channel.
I will set off from the London Eye at 3pm on Sunday 7th June (now Sunday 6th June 2021 due to Covid-19) and aim to arrive at the Eiffel Tower by dusk on Monday 8th (now Monday 7th June 2021).
Your donations will go along way to helping other people with cancer get the support they need whilst enduring the treatment needed to get them back on the road to recovery.
Thank you.
