With The ANCHOR Centre opening its doors this year, fundraising for our ANCHORED Together appeal remains a key area of focus for the charity. With just over half a million still to raise, we'd love your help to make our goal possible.

Story

I was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer in August 2022 and have been on quite a journey since with chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other treatments. Friends of ANCHOR have supported me throughout. When the opportunity arose to take part in 'Brave 2023'  by stepping out on the catwalk at the Beach Ballroom on Thursday 4th May and Friday 5th May I jumped at the chance. Along with another 23 men from across the North East of Scotland at various stages in their cancer journeys, we will be aiming to boost the fundraising effort in support of the new ANCHOR Centre at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Any amount you could spare for such a worthy cause would be greatly appreciated.

"Every penny of your donation will go towards the ANCHORED Together appeal; the charity's commitment to raise £2million for additional extras within The ANCHOR Centre, which is currently under construction and due to open later this year."

"All of Friends of ANCHOR's overheads are covered by local company Balmoral Group, so you can rest assured that 100% of your donation will do great work."
