Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Some of you may who know me well will know that my father has been diagnosed with dementia. Furthermore, in my practice as a GP I am dealing with increasing numbers of new patients with dementia. Having been looking to run at least one marathon while my knees will allow it, I thought it was important that I raised some money for a charity which meant something to me, and would have an impact on patient care. Once I'd made the decision to run, my 'home' marathon seemed to be the most obvious choice, and Alzheimer Scotland have kindly offered me one of their places. They have set me a reasonable target to raise and I hope that you would feel able to donate to a very worthwhile cause.
