Story
I have entered the ballot to run in the London Marathon for several years and this year I have been lucky enough (or unlucky depending on how you look at it!) to finally get a space.
This last year has been very challenging for us all and especially the children. Our son was in reception when this pandemic first hit and is now in Year 1. Throughout this period, the staff at Witchford Rackham Primary School have been amazing. Our experience has been that they have all gone above and beyond in supporting the children and parents.
This is why I have chosen to run the London Marathon on behalf of the school.
I know they have some projects they would love to receive funds for, including some new play equipment and re-glazing the main hall window with stained glass. I am under no illusion how hard the Marathon will be, but they say ‘No Pain, No Gain’. Hopefully when I am hobbling around with the inevitable blisters I can at least say it was worth it to help kickstart some of these projects.
I know that myself and the school will be grateful for whatever donations you are able to give, so thank you for all donations however big or small!
Thank you very much.
Ali.
