We are fighting to make a world where diabetes does no harm

Story

Hi

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

On May 1st 2009, it will be 10 years from the day my son Ethan, then 2 years old, was rushed to hospital and  diagnosed with Type 1 Insulin Dependent Diabetes.

Many of you, my lovely friends and family, have supported us through the trials and tribulations - the blood tests, injections and constant worry and now I'm asking for your money!

To mark this decade I'm going to take part in the Well Walk for Diabetes on Sunday April 26th. It's only 7.5 miles but many Diabetes sufferers will take part and for a lot of them, it will be a struggle.

We're lucky that, due to good guidance and diligence, Ethan is fit and healthy and just about to become a teenager (not wishing to tempt fate there!).  Others, however, find it much harder to cope.

WE NEED A CURE and any donation or sponsorship will help.

I'm nowhere near as fit and healthy as Ethan and am ashamed to say I couldn't even run for a bus but I'm determined to complete this walk (I may even break into a trot!) in good time.

Thank you all, for any help you can give.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Diabetes UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
