The Hospice needs over £3,000,000 a year to provide its wide range of services to the local community. Only 33% of this sum comes from government funding. This means that every day the Hospice has to raise, through voluntary income, over £5,500. In addition, July 2004 saw the launch of the Telford Appeal, to build a new hospice in Telford, meaning the amount to be raised by voluntary contributions will double in the next financial year and beyond.
