Story
Update 16 April: Thank you all so much! I have raised £197 so far. The race was yesterday; the weather was beautiful and I had a fantastic time. I did a mixture of jogging and walking (probably more walking than jogging, but not much more), and I finished in 51 minutes. And it was great fun! Most fun I've had running. Lots of people at all stages, plenty of whom were slower than me. £200 is, for example, sufficient to fund a heart researcher for a day.
I'm going to do a 'proper' run this time; the 5k British Heart Foundation Hyde Park Jog on 15 April. So this is a chance for everyone who said it wasn't far enough, or wasn't sure about the charity. I'd like to raise £100 for the British Heart Foundation this time.
I'm training; at the moment I expect to do the 5k with a mixture of jogging and walking. If I develop unexpected running ability in the next seven weeks, I'll update this.
Obviously you don't need to donate via justgiving but I tend to find it convenient to do so, and it automatically sorts the Gift Aid out and sends the money on to the charity.
Thanks ever so much
Alison
