My story is all about my beautiful best friend who lost her courageous battle against Breast Cancer in August 2013.

I first did the Race for Life once she had been diagnosed to raise funds that will help put a stop to this terrible disease. This year will be my 5th Year taking part and I will continue to do so until a breakthrough is made into finding out why such young people are now contracting the disease .

Von was beautiful inside and out and she did not deserve to leave this earth in the way she did. She is one of many and the number seems to be rising. I run the Race in memory of Von and all those still battling this dreadful disease.
