Story
Unfortunately, after much sole searching, it has been agreed not to go ahead with the China trek in April 2022 due to the ongoing problems around the coronavirus but instead to move the trek to the Alps. This trek will cover 46km through the Mont Blanc region and we will be visiting three countries in three days – France, Italy and Switzerland. We are obviously disappointed that we won’t be doing the China trek but are very excited about the challenges we will face when completing the Alps trek. It won’t be easy as there will be lots of mountains to climb but we are very excited to be able to visit this beautiful region.
Thank you once again to everyone who has already sponsored us.

In light of the ongoing changes and developments around the
coronavirus our China trek, which was originally planned for October 2020, has been postponed until 23 April-1 May 2022. We are obviously disappointed that the trek has had to be postponed but are really pleased that it is going ahead.
Thank you to everyone who has already sponsored us. All contributions are greatly appreciated!

From 17th to 25th October 2020, we will be taking on a huge challenge by trekking along the Great Wall of China to help raise vital
funds for St Barnabas House. The challenge will include five days hiking along the Great Wall, where we will trek over watch towers and mountains and through historic battlement stations that are well off the tourist trail. We will be able to ‘lend a hand’ repairing a section of the Wall that is currently being reconstructed, by each placing a brick in this newly restored section, ensuring our own place in the history of the Great Wall of China!
St Barnabas House delivers care and support to people in the Worthing, Arun, Adur and Henfield areas. Each year they provide vital end of life care to hundreds of local people, both within the hospice and out in the local community. In recent years they have created a Disease Specific Nursing Team with dedicated specialist nurses working in key areas of care to support patients with renal, liver, respiratory and heart conditions, as well as core services for patients with cancer and neurological conditions.
Any amount however big or small will be greatly appreciated and will help to ensure that St Barnabas House can continue to provide this essential care to those who need it the most.
Thank you, Si & Ali
