Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

Unlike early-detected breast or testicular, colon or prostate cancers, most ovarian cancer cases cannot be cured simply because they are not discovered before the disease has evolved into its third or fourth stages.

Unfortunately for my sister Lesley and many other women, by the time they are diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer it is very advanced stages

When we #walkinhername we will be honouring other women, men and children from the Barry community who are living their life’s after cancer or sadly lost their lives because of cancer.

Let’s try and improve outcomes for other women and #walkinhername

Just donate £10 to take part and we’ll see you on 31st March 2019 and #walkinhername

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

We are the UK’s leading ovarian cancer research charity. In the UK only 1 in 3 women live more than 10 years after diagnosis. We are working to better prevent, treat and detect ovarian cancer, so that by 2032 at least half of women with ovarian cancer live for 10 years.
