Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

My dad was diagnosed 6 years ago and no longer knows anyone. He cannot speak or communicate  in anyway.  In the midst  of Covid we as a family felt his needs were more than we could manage and had to place him in a care home. I had to leave him at the door and was unable to see him for 6 months, by which time we had lost him completely. 

It is so cruel  you watch your loved ones disappearing little by little.
