Hi guys, Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. 

My Mum and I are "braving the shave" to help raise money for MND Scotland. My mums life long best friend was diagnosed with motor neurone disease over a year ago and up until then none of us really knew much about the disease or what it does to people. 

MND is a progressive incurable illness which affects the body's motor nerves. MND stops the signals from the brain reaching the muscles therefore weaken them & stop them working. Everyone with the illness has different symptoms and there is no single test that can diagnose MND. While living with MND people may lose the ability to walk, talk, eat, swallow and sometimes breathe unaided. There are many, many different symptoms for the disease.

MND Scotland help to support the people with the disease and their families while also trying to find a cure for this terrible disease. 

I am asking for all you lovely people to dig deep if you can and help us raise as much as we can so MND Scotland can carry on helping people dealing with this awful disease. If you would like to find out more about the charity then please look up their page.
