Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Parkinson's is a progressive neurological condition. This means that it causes problems in the brain and gets worse over time. The number of people diagnosed with Parkinson's in the UK is about 145,000. That's around 1 adult in every 350.

Parkinson's UK's work totally depends on the money raised and donated. It's only with all of our help that they can find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson's.

For those who know me well, you know I used to jump out of planes for fun and have also done other adrenalin-based charity events such as Wing Walking...but more recently I have realised that I am no longer the 'bullet-proof Ally' that I used to be. I'm not sure if its heights, stepping off of ledges or trusting a rope on a pulley to hold me up....whatever it is, I am anxious already when thinking of taking part in this....But I WILL do it, even if I have shaky legs and possibly tears...its for an amazing charity and one so very close to my heart.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
