I've worked for the motor neurone disease (MND) Association for over 10 years and have met many inspirational people who have died from this horrific disease.  I decided to do the Great North Swim as an incentive to get fit again and to raise as much money as I can for this fantastic charity!

It's only a one mile swim in a freezing lake - what could be easier?!
