Story
As you may know, my amazing and beautiful mum, Marjorie Bartley, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour (Glioblastoma Multiforme) in April of this year and sadly she was taken from us only 4 short months later, on the 12th August.
It was the saddest day of our lives and it has shattered all our hearts into a million pieces as mum was the backbone of this family. She was the best wife, mum, grandma and great-grandma anyone could wish for.
Her smile lit up a room and her kindness knew no bounds. She was always there for everyone, and family and friends meant the world to her; she constantly put everyone else's needs before her own.
We couldn't have got through this awful time without the fantastic Marie Curie nurses and we feel it is a fitting tribute to try and raise some funds for them as they are a godsend for families in our position.
