Story
Hiya. Thanks for taking the time to visit my page. I'll be running in the London Marathon on April 13 and cycling in the London100 on August 10 in memory of my niece Sylvia, who died from Sudden Death In Epilepsy in 2011, when she was just 21.
Eight people a day develop epilepsy in this country and Epilepsy Scotland works hard to give them support, campaigning for better healthcare, raising awareness of the condition and fighting to end the stigma which, sadly, still surrounds it.
Sylvia will be in my thoughts for every mile of these two events. She was a wonderful, bright, loving, funny and, above all, courageous girl. I'm proud to be taking part in her name and appreciate any support you can give to my fundraising.
Many thanks.
Alison
