We research early diagnosis and treatments to beat pancreatic cancer.

Story

I played the part of Cinderella in the Bramham Pantomime at Christmas and I have decided to run the London Marathon, in character, to raise money for two charities very close to my heart. I lost my Dad to pancreatic cancer just forty-nine days after diagnosis last September and commenced rehearsals for Cinderella just days later.

Pancreatic Cancer is often referred to as the “Cinderella Cancer” as it attracts very little research attention or funding. The Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is a new charity supporting innovative research into defeating the disease and I have decided to run the marathon as Cinderella for this cause to help make a difference by raising funds and awareness for this charity.

 "

I am also raising funds for Bramham Village Hall Charity. Being involved in the pantomime and drama group and having so much support from friends within the Bramham community during the first few months of losing my Dad made the sadness a little more bearable.  I want to be able to give something back to make sure our village community projects and wonderful village hall keeps thriving”.

I am looking for 400 people to sponsor me 10p a mile, £2.60 per person to reach my target of over £1000.

Thank-you for reading....

Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the only national charity dedicated solely to beating pancreatic cancer through research. Survival rates are low, so new research is vital. In the past, this cancer received little attention. With your help, we can change this so more people beat pancreatic cancer.
