Story

ACT -  the Actor's Children's Trust are an incredible charity that support the children of parent Actors. They are very understanding of how precarious  the business can be and how many actors work unsociable hours , meaning it is often difficult to fined and pay for childcare.

ACT provide grants and scholarships for times of hardship and when there is no work.  An example of what ACT help to pay for, are school meals, uniforms, trips and afterschool clubs. Some families value help with special education support for children, for example a child who is dyslexic or autistic. Some parents have to go through hurdles even to get special assessments done – ACT help parents by lobbying for them on their behalf or by funding a private assessment. ACT has a particular focus on grants and support for education and special education.

This is a very important charity and one that should be supported and I am honoured to be representing them in this Marathon journey.
