On 5th May, 9 of us will be taking on the 2012 Maggie's Monster Bike & Hike Challenge to raise much needed funds to ensure the continuation of Maggie's network of cancer caring centres across the UK which provide free support for anyone affected by cancer. 

Monster is a 24 hour team challenge event through the Scottish Highlands, biking 31.5 miles and then hiking 8.5, 23.4 or 41.2 miles to our Bronze, Silver or Gold finishes.

2012 will be the event’s 9th year. In its first eight years it has raised over £4.2m and over 5,400 people have taken part.

This year the event expects to attract over 1,000 participants who will take on the challenge. We have split into 2 teams; the "Cycling Lunachicks" who are aiming to complete the Bronze Level and the "You Take the High Road - We'll Take the Bus!" team aiming to complete the Silver level. 

To help reach our target, over the next few months we will be organising a variety of fun fundraising activities which we hope you will be able to participate in.  You can also help us reach our target by donating through this JustGiving page which is simple, fast and totally secure.
