Story
Dementia is a subject very close to my and my family's hearts as we witness one of our family on their dementia journey. Alzheimer Scotland is the leading dementia organisation in Scotland, providing a wide range of specialist services for people with dementia and their carers.
Running the Scottish 10K is something I want to do to help raise funds for this extremely worthwhile charity. I last ran a 10K in 1997 when I took part in the BUPA Great Caledonian Run. I was re-introduced to running last year during one of my sessions at Kallie Mackay Personal Training and at that point, I could barely run 200 metres without gasping for breath! Since then, I have slowly but steadily increased my fitness and stamina, recently completing the Riverside 6k.
