Story

I’m giving this 5k a go with a team of fabulous people to raise money for the Dougie Mac Hospice in Stoke. It is a place that's close to our hearts and anyone who has ever known anyone who's been looked after by the team at the Dougie Mac will know the amazing end of life care they provide. We run in memory of Angela Caton and David Dawson in order to raise vital funds for this hospice - during a time when fundraising events and activities are limited.

I'm doing the couch to 5k challenge in the run up to this event and my goal is to run it in under 30 minutes 💪 😅

Hospice story:

The hospice can't host their usual Dougie Mac 5K fundraising event, and therefore they are very excited to invite you to take part in the Dougie Mac 5K My Way. Kindly sponsored by World of Wedgwood, you can join in the fun by getting your trainers on and fundraising for Dougie Mac! Whether you want to run, jog or walk to raise money, this is your race, from your place, at your pace! With your help, Dougie Mac are hoping to raise as much money as possible so that they can make a huge difference to patients and their families at a time when they need them the most.
