Story
Hello, thank you for visiting our fund raising page.
Sadly, every hour someone in the UK is told they have Parkinson's. Every year this incurable disease affects over 120,000 people in the UK and thousands more abroad.
Unfortunately, my dad was one of those who was diagnosed. In 2010, he too was told he was suffering from this life changing and debilitating condition. We are all praying that one day a cure will be discovered to prevent other sufferers and their families from experiencing the impact of Parkinson's.
Cure Parkinson's is working to find a cure for this horrendous disease and is closer than ever in achieving this. In order to support Cure Parkinsons, on 10th May 2014, my wife and I will be competing in a challenging event called the Rat Race. This is the largest assault course in the world, consisting of 200 obstacles over 20 miles of wet and muddy terrain. The course includes the Guinness world record breaking obstacle of 110 metres of monkey bars, tree top bridges and an enormous lake swim.
We want to make change happen by raising funds for the vital research needed to find a cure for Parkinson's and we hope you want to support us in doing that too.
Many thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
