Story

Thanks for visiting my Just Giving page!
As many of you know first hand the massive difference Ed my Guide Dog has made in my life, I'm sure you will understand why I'm trying to raise enough money to name a Guide Dog puppy who will hopefully go on to be a life changer for someone else.
I'm hoping to name the pup Maynard in memory of my Dad who loved Maynards Wine Gums and would appreciate any help you can give with this.
I will be doing lots of events during 2018 & 2019 starting with 'Velocity' the longest zip line in Europe and the fastest in the world to help raise the funds through sponsorship, raffles and quizzes etc...
Thank you for your support
Love Alison & Ed 🐶 🐾🐾

Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss that has a significant impact on their daily lives. Of those, around 180,000 rarely leave their homes alone and lead lonely, isolated lives. Guide Dogs works for a world where people with sight loss are never left out of life, for a world where being blind or partially sighted is not what defines you. A world with enough support to make the challenges of sight loss no barrier to fulfilling hopes and dreams.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
