Story

Why MS-UK, I was diagnosed with MS after having a number of symptoms come to light, and all so different. I would loose my balance one day ( no I wasn't drunk ) the next have bladder or bowel issues (something among family and friends  i'm known for 🙄 but this wasn't quite the same ) My brain wasn't quite functioning, i’d forget what I said or stumble on my words when talking to someone (again not drunk)  I’d be in pain constantly whether that be in my hip that locks or tingling in my right hand or that spasm in my left leg. I was constantly tired like id done the best workout ever 10x over ( and yes I work out) even though I had just woken. It came to a point where I just couldn't quite cope with what was happening to my mind and body and sought my doctors advice. MS was mentioned and freaked me out a little but I went to  see the specialist neurologist and got my Diagnosis. After many tears and conversations with Lee as to how this would effect our lives going forward or change the plans we had made, or how it would affect the kids. I came to the decision it was fine, I've got this, it is what it is and could be worse I have amazing family and great friends who have been beyond supportive so Yes I can do this . We have started PT which helps my balance, strength and coordination ( thanks SI), I'm training to be a counsellor to try and keep my mind focussed and active which is great for my cognitive therapy. This leads me to why we chose MS-UK

MS-UK was established in 1993, and is a national charity dedicated to empowering people with multiple sclerosis to make the most of today, and live life to the full.MS-UK put people affected by MS at the heart of the work that they do. They provide high quality, professional services to support people living with multiple sclerosis, and they listen to people affected by MS.

The MS-UK helpline is at the heart of what they do and is open Monday-Friday 10/4 and trained staff can speak over phone, online or live web chat.

Lee and I will be running walking the  Royal London Parks 45k Trek on the 15th July from Bushy park Kingston upon Thames though Chelsea and Kensington finishing in Greenwich approximately 10 hours later completing all of the London park

Thank you alll SOOOO much , always Ali and Lee
