Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm raising money for The Compassionate Friends (TCF).

TCF is a charitable organisation or bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents dedicated to the support and care of other similarly bereaved family members who have the suffered the death of a child or children of any age and from any cause.

Each year thousands of parents suffer the loss of a son or a daughter, grandparents lose a grandchild and siblings lose a brother or a sister. Grief is difficult for everybody and you may not be able to approach your family or friends to express your emotions.  This group have provided much support when needed and I would like to raise some money for group.

Last year, I was inspired by a gentleman who expressed his feelings by writing a poem after he lost his son to write a poem for Harry. A compendium of poems by bereaved parents and siblings was published in a book and sold throughout the UK by The Compassionate Friends. The foreword on the book on behalf of bereaved siblings was written by Gabby Logan (sister of footballer Garry Speed). All proceeds from sponsorship and sales of the book will go to Compassionate Friends. The book is now available to purchase and will be available from November.
