Story
Here I am again, with a new challenge, I love a challenge me, and I'm never afraid of challenge, ok, maybe jumping out of a plane, or swimming with sharks...but walking I can do walking, right ?
So Amanda Adams and I have set ourselves a new challenge, following on from Moonwalk half and full marathon in the past 2 years. This year, wearing more clothes it's a cross country hike from London to Brighton. Not the full distance- as actually that would be just a little too much but a respectable 56 km, that's about 34 miles in old money.
I chose to support Help the Hospices, as they do a fabulous job and are often overlooked. My mum spent the last two weeks of her life at Arthur Rank Hospice, in Cambridge and I have never forgotten the wonderful support she received, and how she was able to die with dignity and in peace.
Hospice Uk is the national charity for hospice care. Luckily hospice care is provided free to patients, and they receive limited government funding, so hospices across the UK depend on the support of local communities and fund raising to help them continue their good work.
