Story
Breast cancer prevention through screening & early diagnosed is a subject very close to my heart. I lost my Mum from Breast cancer when she was just 46 years old. Thirty years on and I was diagnosed with stage 2 HER2 Positive Breast cancer and had chemotherapy pre and post surgery and radiotherapy to reduce my risk of recurrence. I had my last chemo in January this year and I am so thankful to the Prevent nightingale centre where I received my treatment. I want to raise money for Prevent to support the costs of research and new ways to prevent breast for women
Predict. Prevent. Protect. You could call it our mantra. As the only UK charity entirely dedicated to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer, we’re committed to freeing the world from the disease altogether. Unlike many cancer charities, we’re focused on preventing, rather than curing. Promoting early diagnosis, screening and lifestyle changes, we believe we can stop the problem before it starts. And being situated at the only breast cancer prevention centre in the UK, we’re right at the front-line in the fight against the disease.
