Story

A family team of cyclists, child/pet sitters and coat holders will be at the Wye Valley event on 4th September.  The Half Pint is 37 miles of the Wye Valley Brewery sportive which the fit and able amongst us will cycle to support the ongoing care of patients with Cystic Fibrosis. They will be cycling in memory of Lynne Purton Gumery O’Grady our dear sister, sister in law, auntie and respected physiotherapist who dedicated her working life to caring for patients with CF.

Lynne was instrumental in the early days of Ward  26 at Heartlands and the set up of the CF centre. She organised and took part in many fund raising events, including cycling events, so this would be right up her street!   She cared deeply for her patients, their families and her respected colleagues. We are also cycling in memory of Steve Williams, a former patient of Lynne’s who became her dear friend and advocate for CF care.

If you can please donate to allow this much needed CF centre to continue to give world class treatment.  Thank you.
