Alison’s January 2021 - 150 mile walk / cycle, 6 December 2020
An exciting virtual cycle/walk/run challenge this January to help feed South African children in need.

Story

I’m joining in to support this charity which is helping to feed South African children in need. Poverty and hunger were rife in South Africa , even before COVID 19 struck. It is now much worse. Pre-school children suffer most as poor nutrition affects both their mental and their physical development. I’m joining in a virtually trek of 2,300 miles around South Africa, visiting all their projects - from Port Elizabeth in the south to Ermelo in the north. I will be walking or cycling 150 miles of the route during January 2021. If you can sponsor me, that would be great!  About £20 will feed a child with a bowl of fortified and enriched porridge for a whole school year. All the money we raise will go directly to the feeding project.
