Marie Curie provides care and support for people living with any terminal illness across the UK. Our nurses work night and day in people’s homes and our hospices offer specialist care. We also support people emotionally, provide practical information, and match them with trained volunteers.

Story

I do many local road races as I enjoy competing, keeping fit and setting personal bests. However the marathon is double the distance of any race I have done before. So let the training begin.....

The Liverpool marathon is on the day which would have been my Nan's 85th birthday and the same date my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thankfully my mum has had the all clear for 5 years. Sadly my Nan passed away while in Marie Curie over 8 years ago but the time she spent there she was very well looked after and received good care.

So I have chosen to raise money for Marie Curie, while I attempt my first (and possibly last!) marathon.

Thank you very much for your donation! :)
