Story
Please dig deep and support LOROS as I take on the prestigious London Marathon event in 2023. LOROS cares for more than 2,500 patients and their families across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland each year. Your help makes all the difference.
UPDATE: because I didn't want to miss out on the special day and I'm a bit bonkers, I ran the virtual London marathon around my local area on Sunday 2nd Oct, my first ever marathon (although I broke it down to 2x halves) Thanks to my teammate Bob Clark and friend Amy Pizzorno for running with me on the respective halves. What a day 🤪Filled with excitement for April!
UPDATE: I have postponed from October 2022 to April 2023 due to an injury so I'm back to basics and having to build up again. Whatever happens thank you for supporting this amazing charity and supporting me throughout my training and to the big day.
This is my first ever marathon, I'm so glad it is going to be London! I have been lucky enough to receive a ballot place from LOROS and need to raise at least £1,650.
My running club, Wreake Runners are supporting the charity this year so I am glad to be boosting our support through this event. I'm looking forward to the challenge and hope I can convince you to cheer me on somewhere in London, through my training or my fundraising. Thanks.
