Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've been inspired by my friend, Denise, and her brave battle against ovarian cancer.  That's Denise on the left in the photo with her wife, Sandy.  Taking part is my small contribution towards raising awareness of this dreadful disease and raising funds.  

I'll be walking with Sandy; my sister, Sue; and my friends Caz, Lou, Sara and Debs.  Together we're "Team Denise" and any support you're able to give will be very gratefully received.

Up-date

Well, you'll be pleased to know that 'Team Denise' completed the walk - as expected it took two hours.

We set off fully motivated after Sarah Greene's 'welcome' speech, which reminded us exactly why we were taking part. Sadly Denise wasn't well enough to join us, either as a participant or as a spectator but we spoke to her en route and up-dated her on our progress.

So, a big 'thank you' from Denise and my team mates for your support and sponsorship - it means a great deal.

Here are some examples of how your gift will help:

£5 will give three newly diagnosed women a comprehensive guide on ovarian cancer which will offer vital information and support.

£10 will allow 20 GPs to update their knowledge of ovarian cancer and best practice for early diagnosis.

£20 will help Target Ovarian Cancer continue to provide free online resources for woment with ovarian cancer and their families.

£50 will help to pay for laboratory equipment used by researchers to find better treatments for ovarian cancer.
