Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Some of you may or may not know I had a trauma stroke February 2017 due to a sports injury.  Prior to that I suffered from 10 months of symptoms which was horrible just in itself.

I cannot describe the ups and downs a stroke brings.  It can happen to anyone, young or old and in so many different ways.  Some people dont survive.  A stroke can be very painful and the symptoms can last for years and as we know Im still struggling with symptoms which affect my life massivley, which is also a daily struggle.  Knowing that your own body is shutting down because you have a blood restriction to your brain is scary, the symptoms are scary.  Not knowing if you will get better and also not knowing within these bad moments if you will survive.  Each day is a blessing to be alive.

I walked the 5k last year, as I wasnt capable of much more.  I want to try and jog or swift run the 2019 - 10k.  This step is very important to me and another goal to achieve.  The Stroke Association have supported me endlessly and these vital funds we raise helps them give the best possible service to people in need.  Any amount of any donation is greatly appreciated.
