Story
I am running the London Marathon for the first time this year as I was lucky enough to secure a place in the ballot. As it is a ballot place there is no expectation on me to raise money, however, I have chosen to support Breast Cancer Care and thought I would share my donation page!
Breast Cancer has affected one of the dearest and closest members of my family and some very dear friends of mine. They have been supported by the charity from point of diagnosis, through their treatment and during their recovery process. The charity provides an invaluable source of support during a time when your life has been totally shattered.
I have chosen the 28th February to "announce" my intention to run as it would have been my dear and darling friend Jac's birthday. Sadly, Jac did not survive her brave fight and It will be 10 years this June that we lost her to breast cancer. So each step I take training and on the day is and will be for her and all of you who have faced the awfulness of this disease.
If you would like to support me then visit my JustGiving page and I know it's always said but honestly however small the contribution makes an enormous difference.
Thank you.
